First of all, we want to thank you for your interest in our seedstock program, As we strive to offer better genetics to you every year, we find that the quality even surprises us a little. We think you will be pleased with the quality of the bulls we have for sale.
Our program is to produce bulls that will be ready to work at 18 mos. of age. Growing them slower takes away some bragging rights about yearling weight, but we feel that a bull will last longer and breed more cows for your investment this way. During this additional time, we give them every opportunity to fail. If they have any structural weakness, show signs of being high maintenance, have a disposition issue or any other negative, they are culled and not offered to you.
It is our goal to produce seedstock that is balanced across the board. We believe that we can offer you bulls that can do it all. You can have a bull that you can put on heifers, makes a great set of steers, and gives you a nice group of heifers to pick your replacements from. We will have some power bulls available that will fit a terminal herd. Not all operations have the same goals but we believe we have something for everyone.
The bulls out of our AI program are sired by some of the most powerful studs in the breed, Legend, Grid Profit, Sandhills, Redemption, Feddes Oscar, Big Sky, Nexpectation, and New Direction. You will appreciate the quality and also the value that you will get with them.
As we are starting to prepare for our 2017 production sale in December, we are bullish on our industry. We do believe that increasing the quality of the end product will be more important than ever. Offering you genetics that will help you improve your program is the only way that we will be successful.
Please call if you have any questions or to let us know you are coming to view the bulls. Please ask about our winter feed and care program.
